The last of the 3 hastily re-organised BSSO race meetings of 2020 took place at Lydden Hill over the last weekend of October. The covid situation and time of year depleted numbers compared to usual but those that were there provided some excellent racing across the classes.
Graham Tatton took 3 wins and a 2nd place to add the BSSO Southern Cup trophy for Production Class to the Northern and Eastern ones he had already won but was pushed all the way by Jeremy Steel and Keith Terry. Keith once again showed that age is no barrier to racing with a brilliant display of wet weather riding over the weekend twice leading the production class field and at beating a fair few of the faster Group4e machines. Jeremy also impressed and showed that he can be a real contender in this class taking his first ever race win in Saturday’s 2nd race (The celebrations in Dover that night only curtailed by curfew !).
A special mention also for Bob West who was celebrating 50 years since his first race meeting ! and although he lost “senior” bragging rights to Keith over the weekend still continues to beat racers half (and more) his age !
