I'd start with:

Choke 70
PJ 56
Slide 40
Atomiser AV266
X7 needle 2nd clip down
MJ 125

The MJ is probably a tad too big but it's starting point. Likewise the PJ and needle may require changing. The only ones i'd be firm on are the choke, slide and atomiser.

running a filter may richen it all up but i found (using a Breathsweet filter) that it didn't make much difference. I used a shorter type filter and it was un-rideable in the lower revs.

As above pretty much but I have an x13 needle and 55 pilot but it hasn't been set up on a dyno and I although I covered about 4000 miles with that set up I was never truly happy with it. I also used a breathsweet filter.

half ways fine, it doesn't have to move much to do its job.

i'm edging towards an electrical problem if you've still got problems starting.

I don't know what you're like for spares but i'd be swapping bits over (with known working) to eliminate the problem. A spare carb' would be a good starter (excuse the pun !!) followed by the electrics (plug, lead, cdi, stator).

Whereabouts are you ? plenty of spares in my garage................
