Yup it is the variable unit Scotty, running a 28 mil carb mind... Easy as Mark, but I was only watching as no flywheel holding tool had been ordered & I don't yet, soon to be remedied, have a strobe... What a bit of kit mind! I seriously hope that Shiny Red Gary puts his footage up soon...

How did you time the vape?, did you go by marks on stator?

Sorry Scotty but as I didn't have the holding tool I wasn't able (& to be honest wouldn't, being a virgin to this sort of advance/retard thing, have felt confident enough) to carry out the setting up of the timing myself. I missed some of the stages in the set up, as I was deconstructing the previous leccy system, but do have a lasting memory of, for want of a better description..., a trident like straight edge used to get a perfect 90 degree line from the circular flywheel to transfer the timing mark to the mag flange.

The RB20 ain't on there but for anyone in need of a bit of 'bretta porn (who ain't in these getting sick of it all times ?! :!: ) Check the Shiny Red You Tube channel for some Bristol L.C. action :D See it wasn't just me & my imaginary friends , they might even get themselves to some 'proper' rallies once it's allowed...

Ta Toddy! Don't know why but my attempts to put up links/pix or anything tend to be epic fails, possibly due to a deep seated tech-no! attitude
