TS1 with left hand inlet manifold

Postby a-teamlambretta » Mon Nov 06, 2023 9:47 pm

Anyone using a left hand inlet manifold on a TS1 cylinder?. I don't want to hack the battery tray off my series 1. Is there enough clearance ect ?.

Cheers Simon.

Sticky has one on his TS1 240 and Superhooper on here has one too on his pretty standard TS1 225.

Both engines are good.

Used offset cones to give more clearance. All good

+1
Using a skimmed reed block (by half) & 3mm reed packer
no issues

Again see other TS1 exhaust post, I also asked Ben about a left hand manifold as my bike is UK from new with a battery tray which I don't wish to hack off, He said same as he did about the box pipes and PHBH carbs.

With a PHBH and an Avanti type box pipe the left hand manifold is not noticeable, But if you go for full on flat slide and a high revving expansion pipe etc, you will notice a drop in performance.
