TS1 200cc piston alternative 66mm

Postby al pushpak » Thu Jan 11, 2024 10:28 am

Hi all, is there an alternative piston available besides the ASSO type that can be run in a TS1 200, my set up is going to be run with an RD 200/RG 500 style conrod kit from Chiselspeed used with either a 2.5mm or 3mm cylinder packer, so was just wondering about the different piston crown heights? thanks

I'm running an RD400 rod with Wossner IT 175 piston.

Had 1mm off bottom off barrel to get correct sqush.

Head is SIL machined as piston crown profile different to a lambretta piston

Mitaka do a 66mm piston for the RD350 and 350YPVS on the last oversize. Have a look at the website.

Just saying.

+1 plus a Broady re-profiled head 8-)
or even use a Yamaha IT175 piston if you can get one

I use this 36mm comp height piston with a 110mm conrod setup on my TS1/200. It does mean having to repeg the postion of one of the rings though.
