Need help with a tuning kit, how do you tune your scooter, which kit should I choose, and all general tuning and modifcations questions are for in here.

Just a hone needed?

Postby jonno » Wed Mar 04, 2015 9:02 pm

Just stripped down top end and found this. The hatching marks have worn away in parts of the cylinder, and looks like evidence of tightness on the piston.Would a deglaze with one of the 3 pronged deglazing tool be sufficient to bring things back or would it need a hone?

That looks more like scoring from grit particles being digested....dusty paddock maybe?

Possibly as I run an open carb coaster. So whats the best course of action,a few runs of a deglazing tool and clean up the piston with emery paper?
