Sounds noisy

Need help with a tuning kit, how do you tune your scooter, which kit should I choose, and all general tuning and modifcations questions are for in here.

Hi all had scoot for mot this morn (passed no probs ) so went 4 a ride running sweet as a nut pulled up at home left ticking over sounded really noisey from chaincase like slack chain but soon as put in gear noise stopped (chain tensioner ) ?

Chain is still spinning when you e put it in gear but half your clutch and your gears dont spin once you put it into gear with the scooter not moving.
Rattling clutch or possibly gears might need shimming although the chain might still need adjustment

Might this be the kick start plunger being deployed? If the plunger cam is incorrectly adjusted, then the two teeth on the plunger can hit the corresponding teeth on the first gear.

As a test, pop the rebound rubber out of the outside of the side casing, and start her up. If the noise has gone when the kick start is at rest, then it indicates that the ramp inside the chain casing should adjusted. It is an easy but not foolproof test.

Don't forget to refit the rebound rubber afterwards
