BGM big bore exhaust

Postby peejay » Mon Oct 12, 2015 3:12 pm

hi peeps
when this was first produced it was quoted that it was "near standard" noise wise in the catalogue so on the strength of that i bought one, quiet? no way, more like absolutely deafening, very dissappointing to say the least. i sold it on for what i paid for it.

my question is :

are the latest ones actually much quieter, the reason i ask the question is that recently i've heard a GP with a 185 kit and 24 delli on it and the latest BGM and it really is QUIET with a very pleasant deep tone to it.

i know different kits can make different exhaust sounds (i'm running an early standard 225 moggie kit)

i'm currently running a sticky out pipe and am conscious of the unwanted "poppy" noise that it makes dispite numerous large endcans which do nothing to damp down the sound.

your feedback is welcome :)

My BGM is about a year old. Not too sure if they have quietened them down since I got mine, as mine is quite noisy.
No quieter than the previous Scorpion I had fitted, I would say.

I don't think the BGM is that noisy either to be honest.

i'm sure they do but when my scoot is that loud that everyone turns round then it's time to do something about it i think.

even with custom made earplugs (my hearing is in no way good) it soon becomes tiresome so i have to do something
