Rt195 with std exhaust..carb set up?

Postby swissdean » Sat Feb 18, 2017 3:47 pm

I know, why bother... fact is over here (Switzerland) my BGM big bore will not get through the MFK (MOT), so need to use a standard pipe (also just learnt if found with non std pipe by plod then heavy roadside fine also common practice).

I have an RT195, with a BGM manifold, 28 mm delly and ramair filer at present...anyone any idea what carb set up i would need to fit for a std casa exhaust..hoping it will still pull 60-65 mph ish with the new set up ..a crying shame as it is a blast as it is.

Will look to put BGM Box back on for the euro and ventures across the border so likely invest in a new carb for the std exhaust/when using at home..gut feel is 26 mm delly (vs having to swap manifold out and go sh20/22 route)

Thanks

I have a similar set up but with 60/110 crank and have been running a 42mm AF clubman.
Current carb settings:
Idle - 50
Atomiser - AV268
Needle - X13 top clip
Main - 120
But as you probably know, no 2 engines are the same...

I'd go with a scootopia 22mm carb with a standard exhaust. Should be good for 60.

Oh yes, it is significantly louder than normal/ standard... last week I took my other scoot in fitted with
An ancellotti, which is also a bit tinny/ poppy and the tester had a tape measure out
Measuring the box height, depth etc... they have full eng drawings printed out which they refer to when something
Seems off... bizarrely got away with the ram air filter by playing dumb

Tried that with the ramair and got away with it but they have db meters for the exhaust test and spec sheets
