Lambretta dealers from the past.

Has anyone any accessories, photographs or memorabilia that is specific to Lambretta dealers they bought scooters from in the past?

I was just scrolling through a few old photographs and came upon these relating to Turners when it was located in Birkenhead.

My dad's shop in Old blaydon before they destroyed it in the early 70s.

He only sold lambrettas for 2 years and lost money as he sold most on hire purchase and so many were returned in the winter before they were paid for. I don't think his contracts were water-tight.

From the 30s sometime to about 73. He sold all sorts; radios, records, lambrettas and some other make that he couldn't remember, TVs, cycles. Basically anything he thought he could make a buck from that you couldn't wear or eat.

Great picture I agree, but as a kid I was absolutely shit scared of the place, because it had a cellar.

Well bugger me! My dad also had a cinema in Greenside called the Ritz.

If it helps jog your memory, his shop in Blaydon was opposite Humble's garage.

Here it is, obviously not in its glory days and also quite a but off-topic, but still nostalgic.

I doubt it, the Greenside we're talking about was a small pit village in County Durham. It had 2 chippies though.
