Now fitted latest Casatronic with "sport" cdi designed for use with an expansion, so put it on with a clubman![]()
Obviously not right and starts holding back and spluttering on full throttle, might also be main jet.
Well impressed with rt kit though. Have tea strainer on it.
Got to Sandford and back 500 miles between quarter and half throttle.
Will be fitting Stratos Montellery expansion and getting it dynoed.

All the above advice is good but use it as a guide and a mere starting point.
Mine also was bogging at the start and changing the slide to 45 improved it and then 50 cleaned it right up.
Always remember the main jet NEVER cones in until 3/4 to full throttle so the early bogging issue is with the selection of atomiser and needle.
The proof of anything once you get it running correctly is in the colour of the plug regardless of what posts or what people tell you what jets you should have.
I have found this RT 225 kit hard to judge on plug colour as it seems frugal on fuel.
I have change atomisers, and needles on a kit that has absolutely no leaks and found very little in the change of plug colour.
I like most, like to run on the rich side. I always run with a filter - breathe sweet or the MB wire inside the standard box version.
Running a PHBH30
BGM exhaust
AV 266
X13 needle - and what ever needle I use maintain 2nd clip position
Pilot 50 - 55
Slide 50 - tried 45 was ok, 40 was a disaster
Choke 70
Choke is fully home.
Bike ALWAYS starts first kick.
Picks up well now and scoots along at 40+ but comes into its own after half throttle and really buzzes along.
To me it’s as if this kit does not like to lower speeds - hates 30m always wanting to GO. 40 always seems hesitant and again wants you to release the horses.
I really don’t know but it may be a characteristic of this kit that it needs to be ridden and hard which for me was not really what I wanted wanting a tourer .
It is an incredible kit but I really have to ask myself having done 500 miles with it if I would buy it again or seek an alternative for my style of riding.
The trip to Normandy next month will tell!
