Ye fran race for now...

stator is indian with a vespa pick up and low tension coil. work to the mag is to match it to the case transfer ports, the mag was from an LI150 so the cut out is much smaller than it needs to be to aid flow in to the left transfer.

Road test will be as soon as I get a new long engine bolt, ive used a long right hand engine mount but some how ive lost the fking long engine mount bar DOH

As soon as it arrives ill be out on it :)

Sounds really good, in the video clip when it gets into the power in third you can really see it starts to move 8-)

Is that on the 4.4-1 gearing in top ?

Mark.

4.7 Mark

I do plan to run it on longer gearing but wanted to get a comparison against both my GT230 and my Italian cast 250 which both also run 4.7.

it does pull well when it gets on pipe but as im running it in im trying to keep it under the power for a few 100 miles.. but its hard to resist giving it a fist full

it pulls 4.7 very easy under the power so im sure it will pull longer gearing, but again, as im normally 2 up with tons of luggage it might end up staying on 4.7, after all at 7k rpm on 4.7 its doing around 75 mph which is a quick enough cruising speed.

I was going to comment that you were winding it on a bit the odd time considering you are running it in. Sounds great with that pipe on. Bet it's hard to resist. Also, I noticed you using the touchscreen on the Gamma with gloves on. How come that Doesn't work on my phone but they have Sussed it out. Makes a lot of sense obviously

The screen on the Gamma is the same kind of screen sat navs use, in that you have to press the screen not touch it.

Fuel economy is looking good on this tune, they normally use more fuel while running in! (45 MPG)
Video below shows the MPG during the first 35 miles, the jetting is set up very rich and its been running mostly well below the power so It looks like once its run in and running on the motorway in the power it wont use much fuel. One thing helping the MPG is that there is very little spit back from the carb mouth.

Yes its very hard to resist. at the very end of that clip I give it some in 2nd but bottle out at 7k rpm in 3rd. By 80 miles on the clock I've nipped up every previous engine I've run in so I must be behaving myself this time as its not even got close to tightening up on me, I'm sure I will nip it up sooner or later though.

So far running this motor in hasn't been a ball ache which is rare on a cast iron barrel.

I noticed some vibration on the GT250 today, crank may have twisted slightly but its not rubbing the stator away yet so fcuk it ill keep ridding it.
