Hi Kennystag,
the headlamp pivots on two pins either side of headlamp unit. There is a spring clip on the top of unit and an adjusting screw with attached earth wire at the bottom.Screwing in or out the adjusting screw tilts the headlamp unit.Refer to Scooter restorations web site section 10 item 10_18 earth wire and screw and 10_19 top headlamp spring clip.If the pivot pins are too short use part of a pop rivet to extend it.The wire is an earth wire

PS are we going to see some pics of this machine did you buy it already restored or are you about to restore it?

Grandpa thanks.
I bought it untouched, just about ready for the road. I will send some pics later, when I find out how to put them on the site.

Hi Grampa
Pic of my gp has now been posted. I am trying to wire up my battery charger so I can test the lights. What wire do I connect it to on the junction box in the frame?

Hi Kenny stag,
Scoot looks good. The brown and purple wires are joined in the junction box.connect +12volt to either brown or purple via AN INLINE FUSE if you don't have a fuse obtain some 5amp mains fuse wire and use a terminal block to connect fuse. The negative lead from battery charger onto clean metal frame..The fuse is there to protect your harness in case you short something out. When I made my harness I dispensed with the junction box and used a terminal block instead

This may help
Left to right Pos 1(brown)and 2 (purple) are joined by a copper wire link in the upper terminal with a red wire going to brake light.4and 5 (brown) lower are from stator 4 and 5, upper are yellow from wassell .Pos 6 is for ign only. Red wires are for indicators and alarm.A red wire also goes to Battery. All circuits are protected by inline fuses.
When you switch scooter off the ign switch shorts the geen wire going to the HT coil to ground (Frame ground)I prefer connector blocks as you can screw wires in nice and tight but purists may not agree.
Hope this is some help

Thanks Grandpa,
Thanks for the info. Just a pity I did not think to use one of the connectors, as I ordered a new junction box.
