4 Nations Bannockburn thankyou

Postby jonashford » Mon Sep 21, 2015 4:54 pm

Seeing as no one else has started a thread I will.

Many thanx to all the hard working people who put on this great event. Loved the long ride there and back, not so much on the way back tho lol. The town was lovely and has great facilities. They sell speckled hen there too! :D .

Thoroughly enjoyable event, all I can say to the people who ducked out is you missed a great weekend,

C u all at wooly

Echo Jons words ................. Thanks to the LCS and all those who attended from the other national clubs, good friendly event with like minded folk :)

Special mention to Hector who helped out our LCGB Chairmans brother Chris with parts ect .............. Chris then went on a lucky streak and won the tablet of home made fudge ;)

Cheers

Ducked out? or didn't get tickets more like, despite sending off within a day of getting Jetset. Glad it went well though

Previously, I'd never ridden further north than Kelso. The road trip to Stirling opened my eyes to how great riding on Scottish roads can be. I definitely fancy a trip further north next year.

Thanks very much to all the lads and lasses who clearly spent a lot of time organising it beforehand and making sure it all ran smoothly over the weekend. The blocking off of the roundabouts and side roads on the ride out was like a military operation :D

Jon, lets not inadvertently cause any issues please.

There were 32 LCGB members that didn't get tickets for this years 4 Nations, as there wasn't enough that came back from other clubs.

Despite requesting that the LCS try to accommodate everyone on the LCGB waiting list (as the ULC did in 2014) this couldn't be achieved due to the licencing/size of the venue.

Good to see everyone up in Bannockburn, and that the 4 Nations event for the 7th year kept up the standard that we have become used to.

Thanks to our hosts in 2015, the LCS, and already looking for to Kilkenny in 2016

I'm glad you find it funny, even though you are clearly incorrect. As long as you're u had a good time eh !

It is not necessarily that demand surpassed tickets. That I can understand, but for you to suggest that people ducked out or that they must try harder is pretty crappy, I for one would have liked to have added the Scottish 4 Nations rally to the three other countries that I attended in the last three years

If you want to debate the ticket issue il move this thread to the members area, its up to you :?

Personally I think Jon is trying to wind-up those folks who may or may not have dropped out of attending this event because it was dropped from the Best SUPPORTING members competition. Dont think he is having a go at those members who genuinely tried to purchase tickets and wanted to attend.

Bernie and many others who SUPPORT the LCGB missed out which is isn't something that should be poked fun of IMO but don't actually think that's what is occurring here fellas.

Either way lets use this thread to thank those that ran the event / attended (lucky ones) ect ect and hopefully learn from it ..............The event was good and those who did attend im certain had a great time, personally I thought the numbers were down but that could have been for many other reasons (glass half full man) ............. ie the spread of hotels / town easy to get too ect ect.

Would like to thank LCS for organising good event, special mention must go to Hector for providing me with kickstart shaft, gasket set and gearbox oil, so I could repair my brothers bike on saturday morning. Also received help from the assembled throng including one of the Irish lads producing a file from somewhere, goes to show brotherhood is still intact, many thanks to all who contributed.

I have to agree, apart from being lumped in with the London Lambretta Club, that's completely uncalled for

I thought it was a great weekend. The ride up on Friday apart from a spot of rain was really good and our hotel and the venue easy to find. The weather all weekend was great the do was good but I was disappointed everything shut down a bit too early. Didn't go on the ride out due to suffering from alcohol abuse on Friday but taxied into Stirling to take in the historic sites and sample a few watering holes. Saturday night was more relaxed and I was in bed just after midnight as we were setting off early Sunday morning for the long ride home. A really enjoyable weekend so thanks to the LCS see you all next year in Kilkenny
