As I'm about an hour away I took the opportunity of slipstreaming my lad on his triumph street triple. Lovely brisk ride down the B1225 - a great road for scootering. Marvellous racing of all types, great to see some lovely machines been given a damn good thrashing.. I'd like to see some of these events being added to the LCGB championship - both as a change of scenery/venue but to also support the BSSO competitors

Eden you missed some good racing.
I'm just happy that we were lucky enough to be there for the two days and got to see most of the scooter racing for both the autos and geared, I think we only missed the last scooter race, and that was because we had to head back to Liverpool early. I would have liked to stay to the end because the track conditions and good weather made for some great racing.
When the Autos went out early in the morning the track was still a little damp, but it didn't seem to slow them up at all.

But your right Scotty, Ryan Saxelby was truly awesome, he's a Very talented rider on a well set up scooter with a fantastic engine.

Well done Ralph and Ryan. 8-)

Dedicated to all the riders who made it to Cadwell on route(or made considerable detours) from Woolacombe:

Great end to the racing season, well done to all the teams, competitors and organisers.
Hope our Italian guests enjoyed it as much as we did?

Great couple of days watching the racing. Amazing how quickly they pull the engines apart then back together for the next race. Awesome riding out there too :D, well done Daz Conneely in Group 4.
Had a good Saturday night in the bar too until it was time to retire to the tent, bloody cold night  .

Great to see some people making a comeback to the racing scene!

A former Group four Champion takes to the track.

And is Group 4 legend Rob Miller contemplating a comeback?

I cant stress enough how much I agree with this statement, I would be more than happy to have ALL the BSSO meetings added to the BSM to support the BSSO.

Although, if that had been the case this weekend I would have missed out on a day riding 530 miles going to Cadwell via Woolacombe from north Birmingham.
Would that have been a good thing or a bad thing? you decide!
I enjoyed the ride but would have loved to have seen the two races on Saturday too.

Up until around the mid 90's the LCGB had a very close relationship with the racing fraternity, every race meeting would be eligible in the Bsm championship, If you marshaled you also got your lunch which was great cos we were always skint.. Racers were also awarded trophy's at the LCGB AGM . It would be great to see the LCGB more involved and through this may be even get back to scooter only meetings.

Eden, thanks for words of agreement. I'd be interested in others opinions. I appreciate the calendar is pretty congested 'as is' but this sort of event, to me is far preferable to the 'big' nationals.
