Thanks for all thhe support, really appreciate it. It can be a bit shitty when you're lost for a solution.
Had some great help from a mate who called round and did some of the electrickery. I'm firing it up regular in the kitchen to keep the smell of 2 stroke in the house. Lovely!

If the plug us wet it's getting fuel ( perhaps too much ? ) so engine is flooding OR there is an issue with your spark. See all of the suggestions for that above. Have you got a really good frame to engine earth ?.
