Pretty sure you just drill the centre hole down the tube to 2mm but then again an adult may be along soon to contradict that
You could buy them ready done from Allstyles, not sure if you still can.

Can't claim to be an adult.
If you want to richen the mid range you need smaller holes, not larger.

Not quite as simple as that, the other holes in 5899-4 are different to 5899-2 so they will have an impact other areas of throttle opening

I agree, jet reamers are the best option for changing jet and hole sizes in carbs
