When I fitted kytronic after rebuild, I changed jetting to accommodate it. Essentially, richening mid range and dropping main jet. It ran well. I was largely pleased with it. Losing a bit of power at top end was the downside. Backfire and really poor spluttery running just happened overnight. Virtually right the way through rev range.
I dropped needle. It was worse. I raised needle and it improved but was still unrideable.
At this point, I lost patience with kytronic and took it off. Timing back to 17 degrees and jetting back to what it has been for years prior to my experiment with Kytronic.
Engine runs like it used to which was fine for years except the flat spot at 4200 revs.
I did an air leak test when built which is only a few hundred miles ago.
It has to be the Kytronic, Col.
