1970 DL150

A mate of mine brought this scooter around for me to sort a few things out on it, to cut a long story short I convinced him he would be better off selling it to me. I've wanted an original paint GP (DL) for a long time and this is more or less original, the fact that it also has a Lincoln (my home town) reg was the clincher. The only clause in the deal was I had to help him source another Lambretta, which I did.
Mark had owned it for around 20 years and in that time it had only covered about 40 miles !! This turned out to be a few trip to the local MOT station. I received an envelope full of receipts for previous work done, a number of years back the engine had been looked at by the late Dave Betts of Scooter Engine Services, this included fitting a 175 top end along with a 22 carb and a clubman exhaust. The engine linkages (swivel, adjuster block, clutch arm etc) have all been swapped for MB items. It came with new rims, tyres and tubes.
Since owning it I've had the motor apart to check things over and sort a troublesome gear jumping issue, fitted a new chain and replaced a few bits and pieces. Sourced a proper seat. Replaced a few rubbers and a couple of cables. Tidied up the wiring. Oh I and T Cut it within an inch of its life
Anyhow heres a couple of pics, hope you like it. Still a couple of bits to sort but a new MOT is just around the corner.

Cheers lads, I'm quite chuffed with it. Tempted Toddy for the Ireland trip but a few running issues to sort, the poor old thing has been stood for donkeys years, not just the 20 my friend had it for, never say never tho. Going to have a good day on it today if I can.

I'll get back to you on that question, I've actually got the carb stripped and in soak for a good clean, should be back in workshop later today.

Bit of an update

As you can probably tell I 've been giving her a wash, well this will become a regular feature as due to bad planning on my part she's become my daily transport. Hardly turned a wheel in 25 years and I'm going to plough her through a Winter, but needs must, as long as I keep her clean and waxed up things should be OK.
As I said earlier my ultimate plan is to turn spec back to standard factory and as and when things have become available and I've had a bit of spare cash I've done a few bits and pieces. Toolbox lock now a numbered black item, OK a copy (Scootopia) but in my opinion a good copy and looks so much better than the Indian one that was fitted. Sourced an original paint Vigano leggie wheel holder which looks right and I've just got a decent original paint Innocenti stamped rim for the spare.
Also almost got a full set of Innocenti gear linkages (swivel, clutch arm etc) these will be swapped as soon as I can.
Still need to swap speedo back plate, original speedo but incorrect back plate. Would like to swap Spaco/ DellOrto SH2/22 for a genuine DellOrto SH2/22 but the prices are silly for old possibly worn carbs so thats a bit of dilema.

Nice one, good to see you've taken my anorak point in the spirit it was intended! Earlier GPs had body colour metal frame grill, with body colour metal fuel flap and grey toolbox. Later GPs had black plastic frame grill (and horncast grill), black plastic petrol flap and black toolbox (and some other less obvious updates that I won't mention)!

Ha Ha don't know about changed but just got the bug to try and put this one somewhere near its intended spec, must be getting old (Don't answer that) Decades of chopping, fettling and customising has taken its toll
