Floor side protectors

Postby Markpm » Mon Sep 22, 2014 1:19 pm

I'm looking for some good quality side protectors for my floorboards on a series 3
A lot of the ones I have seen are dimpled on the outside face where the fixings are on the inside
I would like to avoid these ones
Any leads gratefully received

Cheers
Mark

Costs as much to ship them as they cost in the first place lol ;)

If you do decide to ship them in from scootRS DONT USE FEDEX , you get ripped off for " Import Duty " at a later date by them , they reckon that they pay it on your behalf and have you over a barrel ?? I know as I got skinned for a disc brake I got , cost me another £30 :(

Apologies if this is high jacking this thread but I have a brand new set of extensions like this for sale. Never offered them up so I can't comment on fit etc. I want £30 plus post if anyone is interested. Please PM me.

hi Mark
i bought this type (but not from TSR), where the stud is welded on there will be a very small dimple, you cant prevent that during the welding process but it hardly notices.
personally i think that with the studs welded on it causes loads of grief when fitting. i removed the studs and most of the weld with a dremel then drilled 6mm holes and used 5mm bolts to give me a bit of leeway to make things easier to fit.
